いよいよ、この宇久島ともお別れの時が近づいてきました。宇久島の四季を繰り返し感じてきましたが、年毎に違う表情を持ち美しい景観を我々に与えてくれます。海を巡るのもいいですが、街・山巡りも宇久島は楽しめます。都会では見ない土壁や古い民家の並び、「忘れていた日本」思い起こさせてくれます。また、朝鮮文化の融合などこの土地特有なもの「遺跡」「墓」なども見られます。風化して読めない石碑も多々あり、調べる方法が今のところありません。「宇久島辞典」とかあればすぐ買うけどな〜〜。誰か作ってくれないものかと思ってしまいます。
The time has finally come for me to bid farewell to Uku Island. I have experienced the changing seasons of Uku and each year, it presents us with a different expression, offering beautiful landscapes. Exploring the sea is enjoyable, but Uku also provides the pleasure of wandering through its towns and mountains. Rows of earth walls and old traditional houses, uncommon in urban areas, evoke a sense of "forgotten Japan." Additionally, Uku island features unique elements such as integrating Korean culture and local artefacts like "ruins" and "graves." Many weathered stone monuments are unreadable, and there seems to be no research method. If there were a "Uku Shima Dictionary" or something similar, I would buy it immediately. I can't help but wonder if someone will create one.
