Sailing from Southampton to Weymouth Harbour

Sailing with me and skippers Barry and Mik. We left Southampton early morning on 4th August watching the sun rise over Southampton. We set off to sail to Weymouth Harbour where we had booked three nights at the Harbour. The day started a little cloudy with not much wind at all. By the time we reached Yarmouth the sun was beating down on us, and the sea was flat calm, like a mill pond. We caught the tide turning at Hurst and motor sailed across Poole Bay. Passing St Albans head the waters were flat and calm and this made for a fantastic trip along the Jurassic Coast, passing Dancing Ledge, Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. We arrived In Weymouth 12 hours after leaving Southampton, and headed for The Royal Oak for some liquid refreshments.
