Dumulmeori is a place where two rivers meet as if they were head-to-head and flow into one river. It is also called hapsu-meori(합수머리), du-meori(두머리), yi-su-du(이수두;二水頭), and yangsudu(양수두;兩水頭). A typical example is the point where the Bukhan River and the Namhan River, located in Yangsu-ri, Yangseo-myeon(양서면), Yangpyeong-gun(양평군), Gyeonggi-do(경기도), merge into one river and flow into the Han River.
Yangpyeong(양평) Dumulmeori(두물머리) is a great place to travel in Gyeonggi-do(경기도) all year round. Especially, it is good to appreciate the noble beauty of Yangpyeong Dumulmeori when the lotus is in bloom. When the lotus flower blooms, white lotus or yellow lotus is the most popular for Yangsuri(양수리). There is a well-marked promenade along the river or between the lotus fields. Walking while watching the river flowing profusely will calm your mind. Sometimes I am more passionate about lotus leaves than lotus. The uniqueness of round leaves with wavy edges and a concave center is attractive. It is also good for a heart pattern drawn by leaves that have not yet been opened. The world contained in water drops in lotus leaves is also beautiful. The lotus produces clear and clean flowers even in the mud.

두물머리 연꽃
두물머리는 두 강물이 머리를 맞대듯이 만나 하나의 강으로 흐르는 곳이다. 합수머리, 두머리, 이수두(二水頭), 양수두(兩水頭) 등으로도 불린다. 경기도 양평군 양서면 양수리(兩水里)에 위치한 북한강과 남한강이 하나의 강으로 합쳐져, 한강으로 흐르는 지점이 대표적이다.
양평 두물머리는 사계절내내 경기도에서 여행하기 좋은 곳이다.특히, 양평 두물머리에 연꽃이 필 때면 고고한 아름다움을 감상하기 좋다. 연꽃이 필 때, 양수리는 백련 또는 황련이 대세이다. 강변 또는 연밭 사이로 산책로가 잘 나 있있다. 도도하게 흐르는 강물을 보며 걷노라면 마음이 고요해진다. 때로는 연꽃 보다 연잎에 더 열광하게 된다. 둥근 잎에 물결을 이루는 가장자리와 오목하게 중심으로 모이는 독특함이 매력적이다. 미처 펼치지 못한 잎이 그리는 하트 문양에도 좋다. 연잎안에 물방울에 담긴 세상은 또한 아름답다. 연꽃은 진흙 속에서도 맑고 깨끗한 꽃을 피워낸다.
