Unlike the typical dance-band records of the time, this strong-selling Whiteman treatment of the now-familiar standard demonstrates the style of complex tempo-varying arrangement that “Pops” tended to utilize for his 12-inch “Concert Orchestra” releases. A regular feature on several such Whiteman issues is the muted trumpet chorus by Henry Busse. The song “Together” would enjoy a major revival in 1944, and Connie Francis would bring it back successfully again in 1961.
