plot: Caroline was murdered and detective Kate Beckett is investigating her case. There are three main suspects: Abby, Caroline's best friend, Elena, Caroline's friend and Dean, Caroline's boyfriend. While investigating, Kate finds out Dean was cheating on Caroline with Elena, which lead to them breaking up. Dean has his own theories who might be the killer. At the very end, Elena, scared because of Dean's unusual behaviour, lies and tell it was him. He is arrested but the one thing no one knows is that the real killer is still out there.
