This is my overview of the plugin Dehancer, using Davinci Resolve to emulate film. This is a powerful tool for anyone looking to give their digital footage a genuine film-like appearance. It’s easy to use, customizable, and integrates well with DaVinci Resolve’s workflow - which perfectly fits non-professional colorists like myself.
The biggest drawback is its price. At $449, it’s even more expensive than the full Davinci Resolve license. For many of us, time is money and if you want the versatility and convenience that comes with this plugin, to quickly achieve your desired film look, it just might be a worthy investment.
