When using independent groups, parametric statistical tests require homogeneity of variance between the groups. I explain why heterogeneity is a problem, how to test for homogeneity using Levene’s test, and when to use Welch’s t-test if the assumption has been violated.
This video uses Stats Blocks to illustrate the statistical concepts of hypothesis testing. Stats Blocks were designed by Dr. Todd Daniel to explain abstract statistical concepts using concrete illustrations and inductive reasoning.
