Gluhwein
(Serving Size: 2 People)
Ingredients:
Red Wine (Cabernet Sauvignon)
Vanilla Brandy
Whole Cloves
Star Anise
Cinnamon Stick
Simple Syrup
Medium Orange
Instructions:
•Peel the skin of an orange into thin strips
*set aside for now
•Cut one Orange Wheel
•Add cloves to it
*Flame to enhance the flavors
•And set aside for now
•In a pot add:
2 Cups of Red Wine (Cab Sauv preferred)
1 oz Vanilla Brandy
*Turn on the burner at medium heat
•To the same pot add:
4 Whole cloves
1 Star Anise
¼ Stick of Cinnamon
¾ oz Simple Syrup
*Stir to combine the flavors
•To the same pot add:
Add the orange peels from before
*Bring mixture to almost a boil and take it off the heat
• And strain into a copper mug
Garnish with the orange wheel from before and enjoy!
