This game from the Berlin Open 1986 shows Mikhail Tal converting a dynamic middlegame advantage into a forced checkmate through precise attacking play.
Out of a Nimzo-Indian structure, Tal quickly achieved active piece coordination and central control. The middlegame featured queenside tension, but White’s kingside gradually became vulnerable due to weakened pawn structure and lack of defensive pieces.
