After a short drive through the Nagaur area we arrive at the interesting Pushkar Cattle Fair. Our camp is amazingly comfortable, arranged with a nice courtyard and a dinning area. Most of the group takes camel rides to the fair and the rest of us used traditional camel carts! It was a lot of fun seeing all the camels, the beautiful horses, and cattle. We got to talk to some people that were there to sell their camels, learned a little about these fascinating animals, and overall enjoyed the experience of being at this fair that has being happening for so many decades, but is now in danger of disappearing as younger people are not interested in raising animals.
