In this lesson, I’m using the power of the three major chords inside the B major scale to create not just a groove, but also a solo.
We’ll be playing over B major, and by superimposing the IV and V chords (E and F#) over the I chord (B), we’ll add extra color, movement, and melody to both the rhythm and lead parts.
This is a great way to explore triad-based soloing instead of relying on full scales—giving yo, r lines more shape, character, and harmonic interest.
▶ Let’s break it down step by step: groove first, then melody!
