Benelli M1 M2 Etc. Trigger Group Disassembly, Carrier Hammer Trigger Safety Install

How to completely disassemble and strip your Benelli semi-auto trigger group assembly. Installation of carrier (a.k.a. shell lifter or gate) as well as hammer, trigger, and safety reversal or replacement.

These instructions are based on a Benelli M2 Tactical, and should be suitable for all Benelli M1, M2, M3, Super 90, Super Black Eagle, Super Black Eagle II shotguns, Stoeger M2000, M3000, M3K and M3500, as well as Franchi Affinity and Intensity shotguns.

I have been made aware that these instructions will also work for Remington Versamax shotguns, which have a trigger group very similar in design to the Benelli shotguns.

Disassemble your shotgun at your own risk. Always perform a full function check after any type of disassembly and reassembly.

Parts used include a C-Rums welded and extended carrier and Taran Tactical Innovations (TTI) Oversized Benelli Ultimate Safety. These instructions should also work for other safeties and the TTI Benelli AccuGuide Extended Carrier.

If you are replacing your trigger, hammer, and disconnector with U.S. made parts, these instructions will also work for you. Geissele makes a hammer (listed for the M4 but works with the M2, available at Brownells) and Freedom Fighter Tactical carries hammers, disconnectors, and triggers, among other parts. This is for 922(r) compliance when you increase your magazine capacity beyond five rounds.
