The pups are ready for a new experience- they will spend increasing amounts of the day outside in their special enclosure. They will learn about Wolf Park and its other creatures, the weather, bugs, birds, and snakes. They will start to meet a wider variety of people, part of the habituation process that will make them comfortable with human contact, even with strangers, for the rest of their lives.
Kathryn prepares to return to her regular life by teaching Monique how to feed the pups the gruel that is their main diet now. A combination of rice pudding and special carnivore blend ground meat, the pups are quite pleased with this meal, even the little black girl. Kathryn burps a grey pup, an important part of a Puppy Mother's job. Finally Nathan makes the pups feel secure and cared for so they will quiet down and sleep.
