Hauling her final railtour of the year, Peppercorn A1 Pacific No. 60163 Tornado would be greeted with sunshine as she took charge of her first ever railtour with Vintage Trains, titled “The Christmas White Rose” from Dorridge to York.
Her debut charter with the company would see her head out of Dorridge and travel via Tyseley, Coleshill Parkway & Nuneaton to reach the Midland Mainline at Leicester, continuing via Alfreton, Chesterfield and Church Fenton to reach York, with the returning following a similar route. With only one water stop each way at Humberstone Rd near Leicester only two shots of the tour would be captured, firstly at Swinton in South Yorkshire with the A1 powering away from the sun having been signal checked by a late running service train. The return would be captured under cover of darkness at Barrow-upon-Soar, where Tornado would disturb the peace powering through with a blast on her chime whistle.
