This new series will explore the exercises we all start with on the Pilates Reformer.
In this video we will explore the Pilates Hundred for the Reformer.
The Reformer is a piece of equipment used in many Pilates Studios but is also available for home use. This series is designed to give you an in-depth breakdown of the exercises, including breath, set-up, full demo and a few modifications you can use to make it more accessible for anyone. Some common challenges will be explained, but each person is on their own journey, and your next best step forward might be to book a session with a qualified Pilates teacher and have a few private sessions. This could help you find any of your personal challenges and movement patterns.
_➿Springs➿_
Same as for Footwork, four "full" springs, unless you need to do less. Springs should not bully you in this exercise. If you cannot maintain your proper position, drop a spring. Just remember to add them back at some point to challenge yourself!
📋 Notes: Reformer used is the Peak Artistry TWS with vegan straps, resistance-ride springs/wheels. It has 5 springs, 4 of the same strength and the middle being a half spring weight.
Our spring suggestions are for "this" Reformer. You will have to play a bit with your own Reformer to find what works for you. We do our best to explain what you are looking for in spring tension, but if you have any questions, drop us a line in the comments.
