This invocation opens with iconographic images of Shiva and extols him with shlokas from Tulsidas composed by Smt. V. Sarala Rao. I bow to the unmanifest form of Iswara, to that dear peace-giver, god of all, I pray. Mangalacharan concludes with the Trikandi Pranam, the threefold salutation to God, the Guru, and the distinguished audience.
