Teaching unions in England begin talks with government amid other strikes | 5 News

► Hundreds of thousands of workers in the UK on strike at the moment. But tonight after weeks of strikes there is hope that at least some pay disputes are nearing an end.

The biggest teachers union - the NEU - has promised to stop action for the next 2 weeks to take part in 'intensive talks' with the government.

At the same time, the British Medical Association are trying to negotiate with the Health Secretary to end the Junior Doctor strikes.
But more strikes are on the cards.
