Finding AMAZING Food around Ambergris Caye, Belize!!

Ambergris Caye has some amazing, unique foods that we just had to try while we visited! We enjoyed our time in this gorgeous Belize spot dining on savory breakfast foods to delicious desserts, and everything in between.

Our first stop was the Fry Jack House, a small breakfast spot in San Pedro serving the local speciality, Fry Jacks. These little fried dough treats are served here with a variety of filling to enjoy. We had ours with savory fillings, and these hardy treats did not disappoint! We had these accompanied by fresh, local juices that are incredible and a must try while you are in San Pedro.

Our next stop was a drive out to Secret Beach, a fun beach spot that also had some delicious bites to try. We enjoyed some delicious punches and Salbutes, a puffed corn tortilla with some delicious toppings. Be sure to try these while you are in Ambergris Caye! We also enjoyed a unique way to dine at Secret Beach–food served right to our table in the water! Be sure to rent a golf cart–the main way of traveling around–to get to this hidden spot.

After spending some time in the sun and water of Secret Beach, we headed over to a fun Ambergris Caye spot–The Truck Stop. This spot has several different food trucks, a pool, and a pier to relax with your treats. There is often live music and movie screenings as well, so this is a great spot to come and eat and relax a while. We tried some delicious ice cream, although the soursop flavor may have tasted a bit like vanilla. Try it when you are in the area to see what you think.

We headed back towards the San Pedro beach area for much more food, including some fried conch. These delicious fried bites of meaty conch were great with a nice drink and excellent view of the water.

It was time to get a little caffeine kick, so we headed to Belize Chocolate Company for a strong, refreshing iced coffee and a tasty pineapple chocolate treat. This was an incredible pick-me-up and lovely local treat.

Our final stop was Caroline’s Cookin’ for some delicious fresh juices, ceviche, and lobster. These amazing dishes were a great way to end an incredibly tasty day around San Pedro!
