Second month of autumn has just began, so it's time to continue uploading content from my summer trips.
Here are, probably, the most well-kept old lifts I have ever seen. Those are 48-year-old DAKA R-Series in an apartment building on Karađorđeva Street nearby Zemun district. The tower has got two sections with four similar lifts: two smaller (450kg) and two bigger (630kg).
All of them look the same: wooden cabins, huge indicators, buttons with orange lights and metal inner doors, the only replaced part in every lift. The speed is 1.2 meters per second: that is okay for such an old 20-floor block of flats.
It was totally strange to hear loud music and some Serbian voice from the radio speakers inside the cabins, but that's probably the only disadvantage of these beautiful lifts, which make that vibe. Although I didn't film in Belgrade too much, I loved the atmosphere of Yugoslavian districts with completely original details, of course, including elevators
