Welcome to where the land meets the Sea!
Mangsan (397m) is a mountain near Hongpo which is situated at the southern most part of Geoje Island in South Korea. It overlooks the Dae-sobyeongdaedo Islands and the vast Hannyeo National Marine Park.
It is a breathtaking view no matter the season, but summer would be preferred to take it all in. The trail is fairly short and could take anywhere between 1 to 2 hours depending on your ability. The trailhead starts around here along the coastal road:

You'll see a massive sign for the
Dae-sobyeongdaedo Islands and behind that is where the trailhead starts. Be aware that half way through the hike there is an option to extend your hike along the ocean to other joining mountain trails.
If you are feeling up for a extreme challenge there is also the option of hiking the extent of the island called the Geoje Ridgeline Trail. Its an all day hike and is not for the faint of heart!
Get up to Mangsan if you live or are traveling around Geoje, it was always my go to spot to relax amongst the natural beauty of the island and it is by far the most beautiful area I have ever seen and that is no lie.
