Backward estimation - An Effective Software Estimation Technique

Software estimation is still one of the biggest unsolved problem of software development industry. The primary reason for the same is that we want to estimated software development as an assembly line.

As I've said multiple times that software development is an art and art can't be managed as an assembly line.

The best way to do software estimation is backward estimation because backward estimation is one of the most intuitive, effective and efficient way to estimation and something which we are doing in our day to day life in an easy and effective way.

We must ask question, if backward estimation can help us in our unpredictable day to day lives then why shouldn't we manage to do it in software development.
