Quake II (PSX) gameplay 1080p, 60 fps, perspective correction, keyboard + mouse - DuckStation

(English below) Gameplay del port de Quake II para PlayStation, emulado con DuckStation para PC. Este emulador permite una serie de mejoras muy interesantes que funcionan bien con este juego, como activar hack para pantalla panorámica, overclockear la CPU emulada de PS1 al 500% para que el juego vaya a 60 fps, y activar la corrección de perspectiva para que los escenarios sean mucho más sólidos. Además, el propio juego permite jugar con el ratón que estuvo disponible para la consola, así que la experiencia es muy parecida a jugar un juego nativo de PC.

Sobre esta versión del juego, fue sin duda uno de los juegos técnicamente más sorprendentes de la consola. Por supuesto, se tuvieron que sacrificar algunas cosas, pero es un port muy meritorio. Lo peor sin duda es que se tuvieron que simplificar niveles, y otros directamente no están. No habría sido problema si se hubiesen hecho otros específicos para esta versión para compensar (como con la parte inicial, que es nueva), pero no fue así, y el resultado es que la campaña es extremadamente corta, de apenas unas 2 horas de duración, de hecho en este vídeo muestro la mitad. Es una pena que no pusiesen más esfuerzo en hacerla más larga.

The worst thing without a doubt is that levels had to be simplified, and others are not there at all. It would not have been a problem if they had made other specific ones for this version to compensate (as with the initial part, which is new), but it was not, and the result is that the campaign is extremely short, lasting only about 2 hours, in fact in this video I show half of it. It's a pity they didn't put more effort in making it longer.
