Tsunoshima Bridge is a bridge that spans the Ama-gaseto Strait between Shimonoseki City and Tsunoshima, Yamaguchi Prefecture.
Tsunoshima Ohashi Bridge, which opened in 2000, has a total length of 1,780m, making it one of the longest bridges in Japan that can be crossed for free.

I think the charm of Tsunoshima Bridge lies in its beautiful form, which was designed with the height of the piers kept low so as not to spoil the surrounding scenery.
It is said that the idea of constructing a bridge pier on Hatoshima, which is located between the mainland and Tsunoshima, was considered, but from the perspective of preserving the natural scenery, the current route, which bypasses the island, was adopted.
These efforts were recognized, and in 2003 we received the Excellence Award from the Japan Society of Civil Engineers Design Award.
The highly transparent seawater changes colors from marine blue to cobalt blue to emerald green, making for a spectacular view.
This place often appears as a filming location for car commercials and movies, and is said to be one of Japan's top scenic spots.
I also recommend cycling or walking while looking at the beautiful blue ocean and feeling the sea breeze.
