Zenways 18th birthday ~ Message from Daizan

21st June marks the anniversary of the founding of Zenways, and this year we turn 18! 🎂🎉

In a fortuitous parallel, Daizan speaks mid-way along a pilgrimage walk along the River Seine from estury to Paris. Zenways began back in 2007 when Daizan did a walk up the centre of the UK from the Isle of Wight to Cape Wrath in northern Scotland, and met a lot of people that became the foundation of our community. And this year marks 10 years since senior teacher Mark Kuren Westmoquette also did his walk through England.

Here's to another 18 years (and another 18 decades) of Zenways...!

Over many years of strict training, in Japan and the west, Julian Daizan Skinner received dharma transmission and permission to teach in both Rinzai and Soto traditions of Zen.
