CREMONA - (Italy): the world capital of Stradivari violin. My pictures

Hello my friends!!
Beautiful Cremona is located in Lombardy Region, in the river Po valley.
The city has ancient origins and still retains its original medieval radial urban structure.
Cremona is famous all over the world for giving birth to extraordinary musicians and composers like Antonio Stradivari and Claudio Monteverdi, but above all it's the world capital of the art of lutherie.
This art is protected by Unesco.
The most ancient and spectacular nucleus of Cremona, is the town square, the heart of public life since 1200.
This magnificent square, is dominated by the majestic Duomo (1100), the Cathedral dedicated to Mary, considered one of the most beautiful Cathedrals of Italy.
Its marvelous white facade stands out with the dark red color of the buildings and the roofs of the city.
The rich and incredibly stunning interior is nicknamed the Sistine Chapel of Northern Italy.
Right next to the Duomo there is another jewel, the true symbol of the city: il Torrazzo.
The Torrazzo (1583) is one of the highest bell towers of the entire world (112 mt) with the beautiful astronomical clock, one of the largest of the world.
It's a great experience to do climbing its 502 steps to reach the top where you can enjoy the magnificent panorama of the city with the gaze that, on clear days, can go up to 100 km.
In this wonderful square, one of the most harmonious and incredibly beautiful in Italy, you can also admire the Baptistery (1100), a spectacular octagonal building with a fantastic painted interior, as well as the stunning Military Lodge.
But it's also a so nice experience to get lost in the little, cobbled streets of Cremona and stop in one of the picturesque shops that sell the most famous traditional specialties of the city: moustard and nougat.
And, why not, in Italy it's a must, take a break in a restaurant to taste the delicious local cuisine.
