✧ Gentle Neck Reset Practice
This practice is taught lying down in a supine position, allowing the floor to provide full support for the body.
Through gentle, dynamic movements guided by the shoulder blades (scapula), the practice invites the neck, shoulders, and chest to release tension naturally.
✧ What This Practice Helps With
This practice focuses on scapular protraction and retraction, guiding the shoulder blades to move forward and back in different directions.
By exploring these movements slowly and with control, the practice may help reduce stiffness in the neck and shoulders, improve coordination of the shoulder joint, and allow the chest and head to move with greater ease.
✧ When & How to Practice
This session can be practiced in the morning, to help reduce facial puffiness and gently wake up the body, or in the evening, as part of a bedtime routine to support relaxation of the neck, shoulders, and spine.
✔ Practice slowly and with control, allowing the shoulder blades to guide the arms.
✔ Keep the arms straight and avoid using arm strength to force the movement.
✔ Explore three gentle directions — forward, upward at a 45-degree angle, and downward at a 45-degree angle — observing which direction feels easiest.
✔ After each side, pause to observe differences in grounding, breathing, and ease.
A calm environment, steady breath, and thoughtfully chosen natural materials can help the body feel more supported and at ease throughout the practice.
