On the campaign trail, Donald Trump promised that, if elected, "On day one, I will launch the largest deportation program of criminals in the history of America.” Trump's administration has wasted no time since re-entering the White House on Monday, and communities around the US are currently bracing for a wave of ICE raids. In plans that were publicly leaked ahead of Trump's inauguration, the city of Chicago was identified as a key target for immigration raids, putting immigrant residents and their neighbors on high alert. To discuss the impending threat to Chicago and cities around the country, and how communities can fight back, The Real News speaks with Moises Zavala, Workplace Justice Campaigns Organizer for ‪@AriseChicago‬ and Natascha Elena Uhlmann, a writer for ‪@labornotes‬ and immigrant rights activist from Sonora, Mexico.
