Simple Okonomiyaki - with all purpose flour, dashi, cabbage, cheese

Sometimes called 'Japanese Pizza,' Okonomiyaki is a versatile Savoury Japanese pancake which i'll make in this video by panfrying. This is a non-traditional recipe BUT made with the concept to reduce fridge scraps (specifically from my fridge hehe).
Ingredients (mix all together in a bowl): 0:17
• Dissolved 3 tsp of dashi with 1 cup of boiled water
• 1 cup of flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 tsp of salt
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup of chopped cabbage
• 1/2 cup of chopped green onion
• Cheese slices
Sauce & toppings: Kewpie mayo, takoyaki sauce, seaweed, toasted sesame seeds, green onions.
1. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl (I like to put the cheese on one side of the okonomiyaki to get a cheese encrusted bottom once we start panfrying, but do what you want!)
2. Evenly coat the pan with oil and panfry both sides on medium-high heat until browned .
3. Serve with desired toppings (I feel like the kewpie mayo & takoyaki sauce are pretty crucial for this dish = can buy in asian grocery shops, but it's not a necessity).
Honestly, Okonomiyaki is my fried rice dish in pancake form so I see it as a very adaptable recipe & great for getting rid of scraps.
