ABOUT NINḪURSAĜ
Ninḫursaĝ is one of the seven major Sumerian deities. She is the mother earth, and the consort of the god of fresh water, Enki. She and Enki created all live on earth, including human beings. She is featured in the constellation of Virgo, and has associations with many other Mesopotamian goddesses, including Tašmetu and Zarpanitu.
