I am still celebrating 1000 subscribers and want to show my appreciation with another video. This is a return trip from Kongsvinger to Lillestrøm.
After Blaker you can spot some activity on the Urskog-Høland Railway.
It is a narrow-gauge museum railway and went from Sørumsand, just outside of Oslo, to Skullerud station and transported passengers and goods up until july 1.st, 1960.
In local parlance, it was called “Tertitten”, which played on the fact that the line was a so-called tertiary line (tertiærbane) and the local dialect word for the bird great titmouse “Tertitt”
Urskog-Hølandsbanen is Norway’s oldest railway museum and the only railway in Norway with three working coal-fired steam locomotives. They aslo have a range of carriages preserved wich they use in the running of the museum.
