➡️ At over 60 years old, I’ve faced my share of physical setbacks—a third recurrence of cancer three years ago, shoulder surgery two years ago, which led to time away from squats for nearly a year, and lingering elbow and wrist ligament tears from years of heavy lifting in my 40s and 50s. After surgery and ongoing pain in my elbows and wrists, even curling 40 pounds was a challenge for nearly two years.
✅️ But today, I felt different. I felt motivated. I felt challenged. I hadn’t barbell curled 95 pounds in years, then 85 pounds, and finally 75 pounds—which was my max just two months ago—became my warm-down weight.
✅️ The 3-set reverse pyramid training routine took just over 4 minutes (I kept my camera video on until I was finished)—enough time to change the weight for each set, and then I was back in the saddle to perform my reps: 💥💥💥
😲 Fortunately, I wasn't arrested for curling in the squat rack! 😂
