The much-awaited Khandagiri Yatra Mahakumbha kicked off today in Bhubaneswar with a vibrant cultural carnival set to continue for 12 days. Seven grand stages (pandals) have been set up, featuring performances by 15 distinguished theatre troupes. On the inaugural day, four renowned groups took the stage, including Indira Cultural Parishad presenting "Tu Mo Bajrangī" starring noted actor Piyush Tripathy, and Konark Gananatya performing "Tu Mo Bhagyarē Nāhīn." Spectator enthusiasm is palpable, with long queues seen since morning at ticket counters. The festival promises a rich celebration of Odia drama and traditional performing arts.
