Do you know there are up to 300 different types of sign languages in the world? American Sign Language (ASL) is the predominant sign language in the United States and most of Anglophone Canada. Also, it is widely learned as a second language, serving as a lingua franca. Currently living in India, Amy and Anirban Dasgupta met through ASL. In this video, they will introduce the language structure and share new perspectives towards learning a language. They will break down sign languages--how to visualize signs, how to layer background information into details, how to incorporate facial expressions etc.
