I was given an old Kodak Brownie around 15 years ago and it's been sitting on a shelf collecting dust ever since.
Kodak made Brownies for a long time but this is the No. 2 model and was made in 1906!
This thing is 104 years old!!! I didn't have high hopes for it working, let's put it that way.
I thought it was a good a time as any to see if the thing actually works so after reading a couple of manuals and watching some videos I gave it a good clean, checked for possible light leaks, loaded a film and shot some pictures.
I was surprised and impressed by the results and will certainly use a higher speed film next time as I used an expired roll of FP4 which is only ISO 125 which, in combination with the Brownie's apertures of 16, 22 and 32, isn't ideal.
Two of the pictures are pretty soft as I subsequently read that the minimum focus distance is around 2.5 metres.
Two two other portraits in front of the cloth background were shot at 10 and 20 seconds respectively.
To avoid getting in to trouble regarding licenced music, I recorded the backing track myself, albeit somewhat rough so please forgive the quality.
