Severn Valley Railway Spring Steam Gala 2025

What better way to celebrate Easter than the sight and sound of steam, as the Severn Valley Railway hosted their annual Spring Steam Gala over the weekend of the 18th-21st April. The event saw an intensive timetable featuring both passenger and demonstration freight trains in operation.

This years guests saw the return of LMS Jubilee 45596 'Bahamas' on its second visit to the railway alongside 45699 'Galatea' making its first appearance at the railway, masquerading as scrapped class mate 45627 'Serria Leone', joining the midland trio was recently completed new built grange 6880 'Betton Grange'.

Joining the three guest locomotives, the railway's resident Manors 7802 'Bradley Manor', which had recently returning following an overhaul alongside 7812 'Erlestoke Manor' & BR Standard 4MT no.75069.
