My Polaris 570 EFI (full size) was showing the same level of gas on its nearly invisible fuel gauge no matter what was in the tank. I did the diagnostics and determined the problem was the fuel gauge in the instrument cluster, not the sending unit. I found a replacement gauge that is a huge improvement over the original unit, since it is always very, very obvious how much fuel I have left in the tank now.
Best of all, the cost of this gauge was $11 delivered, and the job is really pretty easy as well (as long as you have a hole saw the right size for the gauge you choose).
FWIW, the fuel sending unit in my Polaris is rated at around 6-8 ohms (full tank) and 90-98 ohms (empty tank). Make sure and look up the right spec for your 4-wheeler's sending unit if you're replacing the gauge.
My video shows a lot of background and tips for installing your own gauge, and will help with the same job in nearly any 4-wheeler.
Good luck, and let me know how your replacement goes. If this video helps, I'd appreciate it if you'd like the video and consider subscribing, which will make it easier for you to find similar videos in the future.
Thanks!
