We explore and camp in Squirrel Cove in January with my son and a group of boys. This video describes how to navigate the cove, how to anchor in the cove, and tips on beaching a boat in Squirrel Cove. Squirrel Cove has a forest service cabin that can be rented out and tent platforms to use on a first come, first serve basis. Squirrel Cove is part of Decision Point Marine State Park in Prince William Sound, Alaska. This location is a very popular place to camp in the summertime but winter camping like we did was amazing. Squirrel Cove is located only about 8 miles from Whittier, Alaska. However, there are no roads or trails to Squirrel Cove so you will need to boat or kayak to the cove. There are water taxis available in Whittier to bring you to the cove.
This video was filmed on a Canon R5c.

The boat used in the video is made by Brix Marine, model 3814.
