KSP - Pioneer 0/1/2

This video depicts aspects of Pioneer 0/1/2, in Kerbal Space Program. It uses a number of fan-made mods such as Bluedog Design Bureau, Chatterer, PlanetShine, Scatterer, and others.

The first Pioneer probe was meant to achieve lunar orbit and pull ahead in the Space Race. However, three attempts all failed before reaching the Moon, and the Soviet Union pulled further ahead with the launch of Luna 1 in 1959.

This is a what-if scenario, assuming Pioneer 1 went as planned and successfully reached lunar orbit.
