It's a short trip to either island from the other, and both are an hour away from Athens. This makes them ideal for simple day trips, where you can visit with getting a hotel. One of my favorite places in Aegina, which has variety of attractions and sites, is the fish market, where you can pick out a fish and have it cooked for you right there for lunch!
