50 YEARS IN THE HEART OF PORTLAND! 2018 marks the 50th Anniversary of the founding of The Old Church Society, which formed in order to rescue and restore this rare example of Victorian Gothic Carpenter architecture from the wreaking ball. The Golden Jubilee Preservation Project, which included painting the building, making essential repairs to the exterior, cleaning the roof, and installing outdoor lighting for visibility and security, was completed August 18, 2018. The project also included illuminating the belfry tower from within to cast a welcome beacon of light on our corner! If The Old Church has brought you joy over the years, please support our continuing preservation efforts and help keep this vital community resource thriving!
