This group comes from a city of Iquique in northern Chile. It is the capital of the Tarapaca region. The town's name comes from the Aymara Ique ic word "sleep" or "bed" means.
The name of this group in Aymara means dancing wind. It is a autonaume unit consisting of students. This group was established on 26 October 1989. The Directors are Biagetti Rosa (Artistic director and choreographer), Omar Contreras (musical director and composer), Mario Cruz Bustamante (CEO).
The main aims are to protect, preserve and promote the regional and national cultures of the country, while a choreography to provide joy adding all satisfied.
Her repertoire sweeps all regions of this vast country. Chilean cueca became national dance of Chile declared since 1979. It is therefore a special place in her repertoire occupies.
The northern part of the country, which is the group created very colorful dances, inspired very directly from the traditional Andean dances.
