Hilversum - Weg over Anna's Hoeve is about to be closed (NL)

The Weg over Anna's Hoeve is a local road between Hilversum and Baarn on the border of the provinces of Noord-Holland and Utrecht. In Hilversum the road connects to the eastern ring road, at Baarn the Zandheuvelweg (which is an extension of the Weg over Anna's Hoeve) connects to the A1 motorway.

The Weg over Anna's Hoeve will be definitively closed to traffic in January 2023. The reason for this intervention is the fact that the road runs through a nature reserve (Anna's Hoeve) and the Goois Nature Reserve wants to restore cohesion in the area without roads that cut through the area.

The closure is quite rigorous. The Road over Anna's Hoeve will be completely dismantled. A footpath will remain available for walkers. The through traffic will be diverted via a newly constructed road that will go through life as Verlegde Weg over Anna's Hoeve (EN: diverted road over Anna's Hoeve). This road is located parallel to the A27 motorway and the railway line between Baarn and Hilversum. When entering Hilversum, the Verlegde Weg will reconnect to the old route via a connecting road.

In the video you first see the old route that will be in use until January 2023. In the second part of the video we pretend it's already January 2023 and we drive a large part of the new route.

De Weg over Anna's Hoeve is een lokale weg tussen Hilversum en Baarn op de grens van de provincies Noord-Holland en Utrecht. In Hilversum sluit de weg aan op de oostelijke Ring, bij Baarn sluit de Zandheuvelweg (die in het verlengde ligt van de Weg over Anna's Hoeve) aan op autosnelweg A1.

De Weg over Anna's Hoeve zal in januari 2023 definitief voor het verkeer gesloten worden. Reden voor deze ingreep is het feit dat de weg door een natuurgebied loopt (Anna's Hoeve) en het Goois Natuurreservaat wil de samenhang in het gebied herstellen zonder wegen die het gebied doorsnijden.

De afsluiting verloopt behoorlijk rigoureus. De Weg over Anna's Hoeve zal volledig worden ontmanteld. Voor wandelaars zal nog een voetpad beschikbaar blijven. Het doorgaande verkeer zal worden omgeleid via een nieuw aangelegde weg die als Verlegde Weg over Anna's Hoeve door het leven zal gaan. Deze weg ligt parallel aan autosnelweg A27 en de spoorlijn tussen Baarn en Hilversum. Bij het binnenrijden van Hilversum zal de Verlegde Weg via een verbindingsweg weer aansluiten op de oude route.

In de video zien jullie eerst de oude route die tot januari 2023 in gebruik zal zijn. In het tweede deel van de video doen we alsof het al januari 2023 is en rijden we een groot deel van de nieuwe route.
