Fonio is West African ancient grain that is filled with nutrients. This is a healthier substitute for Ugali/Soor/Maize which is known to accelerate mucus formation in the body.
Fonio is a form of millet that has a nuttier flavor, it is very similar to couscous, maize and quinoa in appearance and texture. It's less labor intensive compared to cooking maize, since it only takes about 5 minutes to cook.
Fonio can also be eaten as breakfast, replacing oatmeal Porridge.

NOTE: We never measure the quantity of our ingredients mainly due to our African roots (lol), and I swear our mothers never measured the ingredients because they cooked mainly from their hearts and souls as they utilized whatever they had in the kitchen.
