My-My... "A Woman Who Prays" is packed with scripture... Buy we'll discuss the obvious in a minute. A couple of my faves are PSALM 102:17 ...and... Philippians 4:6 ! This is one of those songs that poured out on the page "All At Once"... We have known some serious "Prayer Warrior" women and seen their lives up close and personal ! It's quite "Biblical" I assure you... I used to lead Praise&Worship ( just myself and my acoustic guitar ) at a Wednesday lunch Women's Bible Study around say 1981... There were some heavy hitters in that crowd. They didn't do anything with subtlety ! Praise was intense: PRAYER was off the dial! To put it lightly... "Thunderous" ! They prayed for unsaved-cheating husband's, unscrupulous businessmen, bankers, loan officers trying to take widows houses ( Yes" just like in the bible )... It was not uncommon to witness a healing and deliverance or two ! Wow, those were incredible times of Spiritual Warfare. Let me add: If you are not familiar with these things.... "What Bible Are You Reading" ? [ Or...maybe I should ask ]...
Who Is Teaching You ? "Considering The Times We Are In "... O.K... Back to The Song: The biblical story of Hanna in 1st Samuel chapt. 1... [ a story of prayers, devotion and miracles ]. It also occupies a portion of chapter 2... Rather than explain the details in this limited space; I implore you to take out your Bible of choice and read it ! I guarantee you'll be blessed.
I would also like to quickly discuss "Anna" over 100 year old prophetess in Luke 2: 36-38.
In just 2 verses it'll blow your mind ! The story starts when [Then Baby] Jesus is brought to the temple for His dedication...
There they encounter Simeon who was by appointment of The Holy Spirit to behold The Messiah saying: "My Eyes Have Seen Your Salvation".
It's after this that "ANNA" completes the picture...
