We consider this a beginner level pattern as long as the beginner takes her/his time and works through each step.

This cap was one of our top sellers in our 2024 fall and winter festival sales season. Customers love how warm and cosy it is and how comfortably it fits. This is a beginner level sewing tutorial.
If you have trouble sewing through layers of fabric with your machine, we recommend changing your presser foot to a walking foot, like the one listed below in our list of tools from Amazon.
You do not need a serger to finish the inside seams however a serger can help clean up the edges of the seam joining the top and hat band.
