In this presentation we will provide a brief overview of what nitrification inhibitors are and how they behave in soils. We will discuss how these products impact the nitrogen cycle, the modes of action used to do so, and what past research says about the effectiveness of nitrification inhibitors. We will finish by reviewing our current research where we are comparing the efficacy of seven commercially available nitrification inhibitor products
across different soils, soil moistures, soil temperatures, and product application rates.
