I discovered this amazing drawing challenge on Instagram, "Ancient Woodland". When I read the prompts I got instantly excited, and I could see all the lovely drawings I could make!
But I was quite busy recently and did not manage to follow the challenge day by day.
But this weekend I finally managed to have some time for my art, so I decided to cheat a little bit and put several prompts together to create these two little pieces.
It was such a lovely experience, and I am particularly happy about the color palette I chose!
I used Schmincke Horadam watercolor paints (naples yellow red, burnt sienna, madder brown, prussian green and neutral tint).
For the details I used my beloved white calligraphic ink by Winsor&Newton.
My sketchbook is handmade with Arches hot pressed paper inside.
