Often we come across a situation or scene that immediately evokes a couplet from the immortal Urdu ghazals. Conversely, it took immensely fertile imaginations to immortalise these commonplace occurrences and visuals into timeless poetry.
This chapter the vintage singing of the legendary "Mallika Pukhraj of Jammu" - the name written on her earliest records with HMV in the early 40s. You will also here the screeching sound of the record player in the second ghazal by Daagh here - the immortal Zahid Na Keh Buri. We also feature Abdul Hamid Adam for the first time, along with possibly the best redition of Iqbal's Tere Ishq Ki Intehaan Chahta Hoon.
