Trains at Carluke features action on the West Coast Main Line between Glasgow Central and Carlisle.

First ScotRail stop here with their Class 318 and Class 320 EMUs working services from Lanark to Dalmuir or Lanark to Milngavie, Class 380 Desiros stop here with Glasgow Central to Edinburgh Waverley via Motherwell and Carstairs (this was during the time this was filmed, now there North Berwick/Edinburgh Waverley to Ayr services via Carstairs and Motherwell)

Virgin Trains speed through here with Class 221 Super Voyagers and Class 390 Pendolinos working Glasgow Central to London Euston, one goes via the Trent Valley Line and the other goes via Birmingham New Street.

CrossCountry Trains speed through here with their Class 220 or Class 221 DMUs working Glasgow Central to the South West of England via Edinburgh the East Coast Main Line.

There also Freight Trains from DB Schenker and Freightliner passing through the station, filmed 28th April 2014
