DIY: How to make a tunic shirt. Making a long shirt of an interesting design. Pattern making.

You often ask me to show you how to sew this or that.
Today I'm going to show you how to make a pattern for a shirt dress of an interesting design.
I've already made a mock-up of this shirt. You can see it on the dummy.
When I first looked at the picture I didn't think that I would face any difficulties making this garment. Once I started working on the pattern, I had a lot of questions.
Should I make it of knitted fabric in order to avoid making darts? Where the pace the darts if I don't want to make the garment of knitted fabric?
I took me quite a lot of time to make a pattern for this garment.
I'm not going to make a full-size shirt. I'll just make a front detail.
The design turned out to be pretty complicated.
I'm going to show you the piece of fabric which I'll be working with.
I'm sure that at least some of you will manage to make such shirts. You guys are very talanted.
The design is very complicated, so the videos will be long enough even without making the back.
You need to be patient and attentive when making a pattern.
There will be 3 layers of fabric on the front.
I would have been much easier to make a blouse if I removed the chest darts. I decided not to do it because I didn't want the armholes to be baggy.
I prefer to sew and wear accurate high-quality garments. This is why I'm not looking for the easy ways of sewing.
Today I’m going to show you how to make a pattern for the 1st out of the 3 layers.
Next time I’ll continue working with the pattern for the shirt.
